Abstract
The rise of digital innovation has transformed how consumers verify halal status across the food and service industries. This paper presents HalalLife, a mobile application developed to verify restaurants’ halal certificates in real time using QR code scanning, GPS tracking and Firebase integration. The app addresses key challenges such as incomplete certification data, lack of ingredient traceability and limited user trust. A custom dataset was developed to supplement the partial JAKIM halal database, enabling detailed product and location-based searches. The system includes usercentric features such as restaurant reviews, certification reports and real-time updates. The research demonstrates how mobile technology can enhance transparency, traceability and user engagement in halal consumption, offering a scalable and trustworthy solution for Muslim consumers.
