Abstract

This research explores the challenges faced by school leaders when promoting and integrating digital leadership in private schools. Through in-depth interviews with participants from different private schools, four main themes emerge: resistance to change among employees and educators, lack of necessary knowledge and skills among leaders, adapting to new technologies, and evaluating stakeholder readiness for successful digital transformation. The study highlights the importance of creating a supportive environment, providing training and resources, staying updated on new technologies, and assessing stakeholder readiness to address these challenges. The implications of the study include recommendations for change management, comprehensive training, fostering an innovative culture, forming dedicated digital leadership teams, teaching digital citizenship, using digital tools for communication and collaboration, ongoing assessment, cultivating partnerships, and allocating resources. These recommendations aim to improve digital leadership practices and effectively integrate technology in teaching and learning in private schools, ultimately enhancing educational outcomes in the digital age. Future research directions include long-term studies, comparative investigations, using mixed methods, examining the impact of digital leadership on student outcomes, involving parents and the community, and addressing ethical considerations.
