Abstract

This study was initiated in order to understand the Malaysian government’s effort to emphasise the importance of human capital. The Malaysian government has invested in human capital in order to cultivate and enhance knowledge, skills and abilities among public service employees in Malaysia. Providing sufficient knowledge and skills to public service officers increases their ability to be more productive and make better decisions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of knowledge productivity among public service officers. The variables used for determining the knowledge productivity effectiveness were: level of autonomy, complexity of job design, innovation opportunity, knowledge sharing behaviour and learning organisation. This study is a quantitative research in the form of correlation study, whereby a total number of 103 respondents’ data were collected. Structured questionnaires were used for this research.
