Abstract

The use of information technology (IT), over the years, has gone through transformation in quite a few areas, enhancing our lives, work and giving convenience along with other intangible benefits. However, most people do not realize that IT somehow contributes to environmental problems. The extensive use of electricity to power up computers, high-end servers and IT equipment plays a significant role in environmental effects. This study aims to investigate the behavioral antecedents for employees' involvement in Green Information System (Green IS) and further it will reveal, if information and communication technology (ICT) employees’ in Malaysia have clear intention in the implementation of Green IS to address the issues highlighted above, thus ensuring we have a sustainable Green environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the intention on how attitude played a significant part on ICT employees’ attitude in Green IS implementation in MSC companies in Malaysia. The study focused on employees from multimedia super corridor (MSC) status ICT companies in Malaysia.
