Chu, Kimberly (2013) Usability and player experience of input device for mobile gaming. Masters thesis, Multimedia University. Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
This research has two objectives. Through literature review, it was found that the two most important factors in input device interaction were usability and player experience. This research employed a mixed method approach involving interviews (qualitative data) and experiments (quantitative data). The first objective was achieved by assessing the effect of input devices on usability for mobile gaming. To determine usability, an experiment was employed to measure effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. The final objective was achieved through interviews as a way of understanding player experience of input devices for mobile games. For player experience, content analysis was used to classify into positive and negative comments.
