Abstract
Because the complexity of multimedia technology requires its users to literally be both creative artists and integrators, this technology has yet to become as widespread as had been predicted. However, Cincom Systems Inc., in an effort to simplify multimedia technology for users, is offering all-in-one, almost plug-and-play solutions for corporate multimedia development and deployment. Under the aegis of the newly-formed Systems Innovation Office, Cincom has introduced 3 key offerings aimed at helping organizations develop cost-effective multimedia applications, including: 1. Multimedia Workbench, an integrated, networked development environment, 2. Multimedia Diamond DataPak, a preconfigured turnkey package, and 3. Multimedia University, a comprehensive lecture/lab training program to teach corporate implementors both the why and how of multimedia development.
