Abstract

It is recognized that for many firms the use of KM has been a key to improving competitive advantage. The vision of the k-economy and impetus to add value in Malaysian SMEs, which are the drivers of the economy, call for more specific and rational KM strategy and approach, based on SMEs characteristics to ensure proper KM implementation within SMEs. In designing a good KM strategy and approach for SMEs, it is very crucial to evaluate the manners of the subject beforehand. Using cluster sampling technique (from SME CORP list of SMEs) and convenience sample technique (Central Region), this study has assessed the behavior of 122 Malaysian SMEs’ towards KM implementation intention.
