Abstract
—Maintaining optimal environmental conditions is crucial for the growth and health of aquarium fish. However, aquarium owners often encounter difficulties in manually monitoring and managing aquarium conditions, leading to inefficiencies. To address these challenges, a prototype system was developed to automate the monitoring of aquarium parameters using microcontrollers, sensors, a camera, LCDs, and LED indicators. The system measures key environmental factors such as temperature, pH, and turbidity, transmitting the data to two IoT platforms for remote monitoring and notification. The Blynk platform serves as an information and notification system, while ThingSpeak displays real-time data in graphical form. When sensor readings exceed predefined thresholds, the system sends alerts to the Blynk app, notifying the aquarium owner. Additionally, the system incorporates a camera for video streaming through the Blynk app and features a direct display of sensor data on two LCDs. Functional testing of the system demonstrated its ability to perform as intended, confirming its potential to provide reliable support for aquarium owners in managing aquarium environments.
