Abstract
Smart data integration presents a significant promise for next-generation communication systems as well as significant threats arising from the rapid expansion of driverless vehicles. This chapter proposes an infrastructure of blocks as a complementary system to facilitate an adequate mechanism concerning smart data created by autonomous vehicles in harvesting, sharing, and securing such data. This model is organized around six primary agents: Smart Data Cooperability, Annotator, Piffer, Interpreter, Manager, and Storage. These agents collectively strive toward data integrity and auditability, as well as efficient peer-to-peer communication between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. The model, combined with vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication technology, develops a secure, below-the-radar, real-time decision-making environment indispensable for vehicular safety and intelligent traffic management. The theoretical basis and real-world implications of this framework manifest how these blockchains can solve dense heterogeneous data streams’ complexity. Ultimately, this model provides a scalable strategy for intelligent data handling in the evolving landscape of autonomous transportation.
