Abstract

The project aimed to monitor and remind the children of daily prayers. The system is designed to record the starting and ending prayer time which will be displayed in the web application for monitoring purpose. In addition, a rewarding feature is added in the web application to act as a motivation for the children to perform their prayer. The system is integrated with Malaysian prayer time that is stored in Micro SD card to record the correct prayer performed by the children. Five LEDs and a buzzer are included in the system to act as the prayer reminder. Overall, the system implements the IoT technology, where an Arduino Mega microcontroller is used to send the data over the Internet to be uploaded in MySQL database. ESP 8266 WiFi module is used to provide the WiFi network for the microcontroller and the web application is developed to present the data to parents.
