Abstract
Malaysia show great potential to develop an age-friendly neighborhood for the well being of an aging society. This paper advocates the importance and benefits of aging in place. By understanding the key components that affect aging in place, a long-term strategy solution can be proposed to deal with the challenges faced due to increased aged population in Malaysia. Malaysian have to prepare for this societal change. A paradigm shift in the mindset is crucial for the families and aged people as well as policy makers.
