Abstract
Penetration testing plays a crucial role in assessing the security posture of applications; however, the reporting phase often remains time-consuming and prone to inconsistencies. This paper presents an automated reporting engine designed to streamline the generation of penetration testing reports while adhering to standard structures and security classifications, such as the OWASP Top Ten. The system captures inputs across multiple stages such as cover page, report details, sign-off, executive summary, and findings with recommendations and automatically compiles them into a structured PDF report. By integrating vulnerability classification, risk assessment, and remediation guidance, the solution significantly reduces reporting time compared to manual methods while ensuring professional consistency and accuracy. Performance evaluation demonstrates that the automated tool can reduce report generation time from several hours to under fifteen minutes, providing measurable improvements in efficiency and usability for security professionals. In future work, integration with AI-assisted text generation is proposed to further enhance automated content creation within reports.
