In this era of Rapid Technological Advancements, increasing high turnover workforce and aging population, knowledge retention has become very critical challenge for every organization, particularly in knowledge-intensive section such as the Oil & Gas Industry. Insufficient knowledge retention within the workforce poses risks to both business operation and human safety. This MBA research explores, and analyses strategies aimed at enhancing knowledge retention within the organization with a specific focus on the unique content of the Oil & Gas Sector. The research will be divided into several areas covering root cause of knowledge loss, challenges on knowledge retention, key success factor on knowledge retention and finally effective strategies on knowledge retention. Literature review will be conducted utilizing both qualitative research methods to study the best practice and innovative approaches that can develop sustainable solutions for knowledge retention within the organization. The findings of this research will provide valuable insight for industry and organization leader to foster a sustainable knowledge retentive environment in the organization. With the research result, this thesis is to aim to contribute to the development of tailored strategies that optimize knowledge retention, ensuring the continuity of essential expertise in the vital sector.
