Abstract
Optimal room temperature can ensure the comfort and wellbeing of its occupants. This study investigates the optimization of room temperature through the utilization of hybrid gain scheduling Proportional-Integral-Derivative (HGSPID) control technology. This proposed technique offers a robust automated approach for achieving precise and efficient temperature regulation in indoor environments. By integrating these methodologies, the system dynamically adjusts control parameters based on varying environmental conditions and occupancy patterns. The proposed method has been tested for three occupancy conditions. The results show that HDSPID has better performance than the PID controller with faster settling time and low overshoots. Overall, this study provides an advancement to room temperature optimization through innovative control using HGSPID.
