Abstract
Soil moisture is the main factor in defining land surface characteristics. Appropiate soil water quantity is a must condition for optimal plant growth. Lands should neither be over-irrigated nor under-irrigated. To predict water table and moisture prediction which able to reduce the number of soil moisture probe to be deployed, a mathematical model is to be developed using neural network from soil moisture contents and soil temperature. A recurrent neural network will be explored for its ability to reconstruct time-series soil moisture dataset. The trained neural network will be used to predict time series soil moisture contents which able to reduce the number of probes usage for soil moisture data and reduces the cost.
