Abstract

Anisotropic diffusion filters such as the coherence diffusion technique improves images with flow–like structures by implementing the structure tensor. This allows orientation estimation of the image. The anisotropic diffusion filtering make use of the information applying them to the structure tensor. This diffusion method was used on additive and multiplicative noise on neuronal images.
