Abstract

User grouping that requires lower computational complexity such as the heuristic models are useful to address this problem. An ant-colony optimization (ACO) has been applied in this research to perform user grouping in 5G NOMA. ACO and other similar heuristic models in NOMA are briefly discussed in terms of their concerns, challenges, and future study. The efficiency of ACO implementation for NOMA user scheduling and grouping is demonstrated.
