Abstract

The environment has been facing immerse pressure of pollution and the environment condition is deteriorating. There is also lack of initiative to protect and preserve the environment from the government and private agencies is paid attention too in Malaysia. Therefore, green practice is an effort that organization could adopt to reduce environment pollution. Purpose – In Malaysia, although eating out habit is spreading rapidly over the years of the nation development stages, but yet very little attention is showed towards initiating green practices in restaurant industry. In the restaurant industry sector the understanding of green practices in business operations is lacking, unclear or has not been enforced. There are lack of research on the perspective of restaurant operator’s intention towards adopting green practices which is still under-explored in Malaysia. The findings will assist the restaurant industry to spur and develop to a greener future.
