Abstract

Conflict arises when there is incompatibility of interests and beliefs among employees, teams and groups. Conflict can be damaging to any organisation if not properly handled. Hence it is preferable to prevent the conflicts from happening than to manage the conflicts. From the past research it is learnt that conflict prevention helps to increase the team performance which leads to high performing organisation. The selected conflict prevention strategies include building effective relationships, effective communication, team efficacy, proactive conflict management approach and effective documentation. Purpose – The purpose of the study is to empirically evaluate the role of conflict prevention strategies on teamwork excellence leading to high performing organisations. While doing so, the moderating role of technology adoption will also be studied. Pawlak’s conflict theory will be the basis for this research.
