Abstract
Green innovation has emerged as a critical component of greening the economy by reducing the environmental impact of heavy industrialization. According to recent research data, Malaysia is facing a slew of threats and environmental degradation as a result of its manufacturing industries. If precautionary measures are not taken quickly, they may have an impact not only on the environment but also on a company's sustainability performance. Environmental Management System (EMS) plays an important role in developing strategic plans by increasing environmental protection. Furthermore, stakeholder concern has raised awareness among industrialists about the importance of incorporating green innovation into all aspects of production. Purpose – This research aims to fill a knowledge gap in the field of EMS application in Malaysian manufacturing industries. More information will aid in the development of a holistic model that can be used by ISO 14000-certified industries.
