Abstract
Research studies exhibited similar positive and significant proof of the link between Emotional Intelligence (EI), Leadership styles and work performance which leads to success of organizations in the current competitive and challenging work environment. The previous researchers stated that their findings can't be generalized and they gave insights for future researchers to examine the relationship of these constructs in other cultural environments and countries. They invited more researches to be carried out using larger samples and from a variety of industries and organization globally to understand EI in the business world. Therefore, this study will focus on the Impact of Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Styles on Organizational Performance of Malaysian Petroleum Industry. Purpose – The objective of this research study is to empirically test and explore significance impact of EI and Leadership styles on the Malaysian petroleum companies’ performance. Thus, recognizing the significant role of EI and Leadership styles in job performance of petroleum industry will help managers and leaders to know where to put their development plans and efforts to have a productive workforce and efficient organization.
