Abstract

Entrepreneurs are critical to the economy's expansion and development. It regarded as the primary driver of employment and innovation. To succeed, it takes more than money and ideas; it takes personal determination, the most critical of motivation (Ismail et al., 2016). Entrepreneurship is essential to success, and this fact may influence the decision to launch a business venture. Barba-Sánchez and Atienza-Sahuquillo (2018) state that one crucial component of achieving this goal is entrepreneurship development, which is vital to forming new businesses motivated by personal motivation. Few studies have explored the relative contributions of the general, phenomena of autonomous or controlled motivation on behaviour, with the exception of a few pilot studies (Ryan& Deci, 2020). The current study will aim to bridge this gap by determining whether it is possible to identify groups of people who engage in their behaviour for reasons other than autonomous or controlled motivation. Self-determination theory is more effective at anticipating entrepreneurial activity than non-self-determined or regulated types of motivation when applied to diverse entrepreneurial behaviours. Purpose – The aim of this research is to merge” the Self-Determination Theory (autonomous and controlled motivation) “with the “Theory of Planned Behaviour (attitudes, PBC, and intention) “to investigate the effect of motivation on intention and behaviour adjustment.
