Abstract

Social media appeared to be an important part of many people’s daily routines. Some people are getting addicted to social media to the extent that they need to check their social media feeds once they get up from their bed. Looking at the importance of social media in people’s daily lives, businesses and marketers tend to engage to social platform including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms to hope to connect with their targeted customers. Purpose – Since its establishment, the domestic tourism sector has contributed substantially to the growth of Malaysia’s tourism industry (TheStar, 2020). Due to the pandemic of Covid-19, citizen prefer travel locally with families to avoid crowded places to minimize any risks. The global health scare had turned the local citizen’s attention towards local attractions in the country when planning for family holidays. More Malaysians opt for Cuti-cuti Malaysia. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting travel intention among Facebook users.
