Abstract
This paper reviews the impact of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (SOACA 2017) on corroboration rules in Malaysia with particular reference to cases involving sexual offences against children. The primary objective of this paper is to assess the legal effect this new legislation has on corroboration rules in Malaysia and identify the ambiguities found within its provisions which may result in uncertainties in the application of the law.
