Abstract

For the outstanding towards strengthening the implementation of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Outcomes, Multimedia University was again awarded the championship of WSIS Prizes in the category ICT Applications: E-Science during the event held in conjunction with WSIS 2017 on June 12-16, Geneva, Switzerland. Last year, the same MMU team received two championships of WSIS Prizes. The Award in the category of information and communication technology (ICT) and science application was presented by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to honor MMU’s innovation on the detection of protein in latex gloves. This project was carried out by Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) researchers namely Ir. Prof. Dr. Sim Kok Swee, Ting Fung Fung, Desmond Kho Teck Kiang, Lim Zheng You and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chan Yee Kit to design automated protein concentration detection system for latex glove.
