The aim of this study is find solutions to those limitations in gold, with a specific interest in the usage of gold dinar. This study focuses on using the ecommerce technology in a form of an electronic payment system to solve those limitations with gold dinar. The reason to introduce the electronic commerce technology in dinar is because it offers several advantages that the physical (brickand-mortar) methods of dinar transactions simply could not offer. But before the actual system can be implemented in Malaysian market, this research is intended to find out beforehand whether the public would be willing to adopt the proposed dinar based electronic payment system. The specific objectives of this research is therefore to investigate consumer acceptance of the proposed electronic dinar payment system among the public in Malaysia, as well as to investigate various factors that influence the willingness of the Malaysian people to adopt the system.
