Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the supermarket retail employees’ perception on the impact of the individual and organisational factors contributing to workplace theft behaviour in supermarkets in Malaysia and also to study the mediating effect of intention to steal and the moderating effect of internal control systems. Data was collected from 450 retail employees of eight supermarkets in six states in Malaysia through a self-administered questionnaire following stratified random sampling.
