Abstract

This study analyze how Malaysian enterprises respond to the hierarchical factors influencing their capital structures over time. A panel dataset is constructed from 179 companies. Th final results present the dominant impact of growth opportunities,profitability,size,ownership,dividend,industry leverage and inflation rate on the capital structure of the companies under study.
