Abstract

The combination of Sixth Generation (6G) wireless systems with the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) promises transformative advances in intelligent e-health delivery. Nevertheless, because of its hyper-connected and ultra-low latency characteristics, 6G e-health networks introduce a larger attack surface including wearable devices that are resource constrained, implantable sensors, ambulances, and health care facilities thereby making legacy, human supervised security architectures fundamentally inadequate. This paper presents a Zero Touch Security (ZTS) architecture for 6G driven intelligent e-health networks, wherein security is an inherent design attribute of these networks versus being a separate layer of functionality. Based on three complementary pillars, post-quantum physical layer security, AI native federated trust management; and autonomous policy orchestration through closed loop control. ZTS-6eH provides continuous threat detection and decisionmaking and enforcement without human intervention. We further present a comparison of our proposed architecture to existing frameworks and discuss open research directions for developing quantum resilient, semantically aware, and digitally twined e-health security.
