Abstract

This study was conducted to comprehensively explore and analyze the factors influencing the decision to use cashless payment methods in the field of organic agricultural food of young consumers in Can Tho city. The research background focuses on four typical wards, including Phuoc Thoi, Thoi Long, Trung Nhut and Thuan Hung are located in Can Tho City, Vietnam. These areas are witnessing an increase in the trend of consumption of organic agricultural products as well as a gradual shift from traditional forms of payment to electronic payments. The survey data were collected from 257 young consumers who have experienced and have a certain level of familiarity with non-cash payment forms in the process of purchasing organic agricultural products. The results of the data analysis show that five main factors have a positive and significant impact on the decision to choose to use non-cash payment methods, including: (1) Willingness to accept and apply new payment methods; (2) The degree of convenience of the technology; (3) Risk awareness; (4) Awareness of behavioral control and (5) Consumer attitudes towards payment technology. At the same time, the study also emphasizes the role of enhancing security and implementing confidence-strengthening measures to promote consumer adoption.
