The subject of employee performance has been widely studied by researchers, as it is a key determinant of organizational success. Employee performance reflects an individual’s ability to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to overall productivity. Compensation plays a significant role in influencing job motivation, satisfaction, and retention, which ultimately impact employee performance. This study aims to examine the effects of salary, benefits, bonuses, and incentives on employee performance in private organizations within the Kuala Lumpur area. The study was conducted among employees in private organizations, covering various job roles and experience levels. A quantitative research approach was employed, with 130 employees surveyed through structured questionnaires. The data were analysed using SPSS software, utilizing descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis to determine the relationships between compensation components and employee performance. The findings indicate that bonuses are the only compensation component that has a significant relationship with employee performance. However, salary, benefits, and incentives do not show statistically significant effects. This suggests that performance-based bonuses play a crucial role in enhancing employee motivation and productivity, while other compensation components may not directly impact performance.
