Abstract

Thermoluminescence (TL) response of different types of custom-made optical fibres have been investigated to seek development of alternative radiation detection material that offers exceptional advantages over existing passive systems of dosimetry including improved spatial resolution (~125 µm diameter) and water impervious nature. TL dosmetric properties of different types of tailor-made optical fibres were very promising. This study is expected to be useful for the development of optical fibres based TL dosimeters in radiation dosimetry.
