This research is motivated by the idea that AI adoption in project management has the ability to enhance project performance. Via qualitative research, this paper proposed an Artificial Intelligence Augmented Project Management (AI-PM) use case development framework, aimed at bridging identified gaps in the research landscape. Through interviews with project managers, we gather insights for AI-PM use cases, facilitating informed technology deployment decisions. Design Science and Situational Method Engineering were adopted as the theoretical framework guiding the study. This study lays the foundation forvalidating and refining the framework, offering a structured methodology for organizations and project managers to exploreAI integration benefits.
