Abstract
In addition to the soil resistivity and size of the grounding system, grounding system configurations can influence the steady-state resistance (RDC) of grounding systems. Using the Fall of Potential method, the RDC of fourteen various configurations (A to N) in two distinct soil conditions (Site 1 and Site 2) is measured. On low resistivity soil the parallel configuration and tape-grounding systems perform better, while the rod grounding systems are better on higher resistivity soil.
