Abstract
Recently, the need for a reliable, fast internet connection has increased. Thus, free-space optical (FSO), which can transmit up to 15 Gbps at wavelengths from 785 to 1550 nm, may solve this problem. Scintillation, air loss, and beam dispersion limit FSO communication. The FSO system's efficacy is highly weather-dependent.
