Abstract

Maritime security is an important aspect to international trade. Almost 90% of trade uses the oceans. There are many challenges that prevail. One of the major challenge is piracy. Piracy has happened for quite some time and it af ects the profits. Other major issues includes illegal traf icking of human, exotic pets and drugs. The lure of money blinds the eyes of traders. The supply chain of such activities unfortunately lies among the SEA countries. These illegal activities has given the countries a bad reputation and af ects their credibility. More enforcement are needed to regain the confidence among investors
