Abstract

Despite various measures have been taken by the Malaysian government, knowledge sharing in Malaysia, in general, is still at the low level, due to the low awareness and implementation of knowledge management in the whole country. To date, there is still very little local investigation, which has ventured into the study of human behaviour and knowledge sharing behaviour. This study is therefore conducted to address the research gap by focusing on the knowledge sharing behaviour of employees in Malaysia. This study aims to examine how social relationship among employees affect knowledge sharing behaviour. The target respondents of this study are 300 employees in private universities in Malaysia, which are located in three central regions in Malaysia, such as Melaka, Cyberjaya and Nursajaya. The result shows that organizational justice is the most significant factor affecting knowledge sharing behaviour (Standardized Beta Coefficient = 0.486 and p-value = 0.000). Knowledge sharing willingness is the second most significant factor affecting knowledge sharing behaviour (Standardized Beta Coefficient = 0.233, and p-value = 0.002).
