Abstract

We are proud to announce that on 17 November 2017, SIRIM and IQNet have certified MMU Campuses (Cyberjaya, Melaka and Johor) for the successful implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) in complying with ISO 9001:2015 for the scope of "Educational Services and Support Services". We are among 10 higher education institutions that accomplished this certification*. *Service Section, Management System Certification Department, SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. The new standard provides many benefits to the University that includes better process integration, improved evidence for decision making, engagement of staff and students, improvement of customer satisfaction and improvement in the credibility and branding of the University. The new element of risk-based thinking has been integrated into the QMS 9001:2015 processes. This will enable the University to proactively act in addressing risks or opportunities to materialise the intended objective(s).
