Abstract

MMU continues its initiatives as a trendsetter university as it successfully hosted the 5th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICoICT 2017) at Holiday Inn Hotel, Melaka from 17 to 19 May recently. The conference gave the region’s digital community a much-needed boost in innovation and advancements in the field of information communication technology (ICT) at the global level. Jointly organised by MMU that was majority-led by Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) members and Telkom University, Indonesia, the premier conference offered the opportunity to enhance international academic exchange on ICT related topics and to provide a platform for researchers to discuss new problems and solutions. It has attracted more than 200 paper submissions from foreign delegates, such as researchers from Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, South Korea, India, Iran, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Pakistan, Jordan, Morocco, United Kingdom, France, Iraq, Sweden, United States, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.
