Abstract

This study wishes to demonstrate the nature and causes of piracy activities in Malaysia and to focus on the types and also the reasons behind those activities. This study is conducted due to the rising interest in the issue of piracy in Malaysia. In addition, this topic was also selected because it could produce important information to the economy. This study focuses on the pirated products narrowed to video compact discs (VCD) and digital versatile disc(DVD); audio campact discs(CD) and computer software.
