Abstract
It is known that complex filters possess many advantages over real filters in processing complex signals. In this paper, a simple and systematic procedure which can be implemented through a computer program is presented for realizing a new type of multidimensional complex digital filters which is based on the concept of generalized immittance converter. The proposed filter structures are obtained by using two types of digital modules. Apart from modularity property, the proposed filters possess many salient features such as low noise, low sensitivity and capability of realizing multiple transfer functions simultaneously. These features make them attractive for VLSI implementation. It is shown that these filter structures can be obtained directly from the specified multidimensional discrete transfer function without the need for any analog reference configuration
