Abstract

Interactivities between a student and computers are important and necessary for the learning of new concepts. Interactivities in MITS include editing the score via a GUI facility; capturing student behaviours during tutorial sessions (e.g. queries, stream of action-events which include performing input) and communicating in aural mode (e.g. singing, playing of acoustic instruments). In this report, we briefly discuss contemporary music educations then we review interactivities issues in some music intelligent tutoring systems. Finally, we present a screen shot of our current work. The GUI-design of the system aims to facilitate interactivities that support the learning of musical skills. Keywords: Interactivies in learning music, GUI for music tutoring systems.
