Abstract

This case study is intended to study comprehensively, examine and analyse the position of Hwang-DBS (Malaysia) Berhad (Hwang-DBS Group) in the Malaysian securities market. Hwang-DBS Group is a public listed company on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia since 1996. Hwang-DBS Securities Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hwang-DBS Group and a Universal Broker since 2001 is the current market leader in stockbroking business capturing approximately 10% of the market share in Malaysia.
