Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze in-depth the impact of the Korean Wave, which is rapidly spreading in the digital age, on Korean language and culture education, and to find effective education plans based on this. To this end, a survey was conducted on Korean language learners of various ages in Malaysia. As a result of the study, Korean Wave contents such as dramas, K-pop, and webtoons were found to be very effective in inducing learning motivation and promoting immersion, providing learners with an integrated learning experience that encompasses cultural experiences beyond simple language acquisition. In particular, through the digital platform, learners were expanding learning opportunities by naturally encountering Korean language and culture in their daily lives. Based on these results, this study proposes various Korean language education methods that can use digital Korean Wave contents more creatively and systematically in the educational field, and contributes to seeking a new direction for Korean language culture education in line with the digital era.
