Abstract

This is potentially revolutionary, an unheard-of concept called “Metaverse” technology, a whole new branch of knowledge, and it has the potential to change how you communicate with people and your environment entirely. This technology, still in its early days, is being developed in a collaboration of businesses that includes Meta, the company owned by Apple, and Microsoft. Despite its something which has a perceivable impact, its likely societal consequences have turned cause of concern. The study sheds light on the emerging metaverse as a cutting-edge technology, including its role in shaping social interaction and human culture and social reality. This scoping review will help explore how technological advances could impact our social habits, work patterns, learning avenues, trading, and entertainment behavior. The study also explored the broader effects on human civilizations if metaverse’s technological advances are indeed adopted and of what a social reality break could mean. This scoping review may offer additional details about such challenges and opportunities in metaverse technology on the part of individuals, organizations, and society.
