Abstract
The agricultural sector faces mounting pressure to address global challenges such as food insecurity, climate change, and resource depletion. Digital transformation has emerged as a vital strategy to enhance productivity, sustainability, and transparency across the agricultural value chain. However, the effective integration of technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing requires a structured framework to align technological solutions with agricultural goals. This study explores the application of the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) as a unifying enterprise architecture model to guide digital transformation in agriculture, with a specific focus on Malaysia. Using a conceptual case study on optimizing coffee harvest timing, the paper demonstrates how TOGAF’s Architecture Development Method can structure the adoption of digital tools.
