Abstract

his study presents the development of an automated latex harvesting machine aimed at improving collection efficiency in rubber plantations. The system integrates two critical subsystems: a parallel pipeline and a trolley mechanism. A Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) was conducted to identify potential failures and their impacts. Pipe shrinkage due to high internal pressure and support structure fatigue emerged as the highest risks. The study proposes preventive measures to mitigate these failures and enhance system performance.
