Abstract
The IOT based gardening system is a user-friendly application developed using Agile methodology, designed to automate and optimize plant watering schedules. Information about plant water needs, conservation tips, and a calendar feature for tracking watering schedules are provided to users. Watering schedules based on real-time weather data are adjusted by the application, preventing overwatering during rainy forecasts. The application is free for users, it simplifies plant care, promotes water conservation, and was well-received in user surveys, highlighting its potential in contributing to sustainable living. The IOT based gardening system, designed to address the issue of water wastage in conventional watering methods, uses sensors and data analytics to optimize water usage based on soil moisture and weather conditions. It requires no manual setup or application control, has shown significant water savings and improved plant health in both agricultural and residential settings. The survey findings show that the system was well-received by the participants, with a majority rated the app's functionality and user interface as excellent. The successful implementation and positive impact of this system underscore the potential of such technology in managing water scarcity, a pressing global issue. Continued use and development of these systems are recommended for enhanced water management.
