Abstract

This book explores the unique challenges that college and university students face, particularly when it comes to their social and emotional well-being. The chapters begin by discussing the different academic, social, and personal stressors that can impact students' mental health. By recognising and understanding these stressors, students can learn how to effectively cope with them and build resilience. The book also explores key concepts and principles related to social and emotional health, emphasising the importance of balancing our social interactions and emotional well-being. Practical strategies and techniques for managing social and emotional health, such as self-care practices and stress management, are also covered. Additionally, students will learn about social development and how to navigate relationships and social situations effectively. By developing emotional intelligence and improving communication skills, students can build healthier relationships and enhance their overall well-being.
