Abstract
The Doctor House telemedicine system aims to address healthcare challenges in rural Bangladesh, where medical facilities and professionals are scarce. This system connects non-practicing female doctors to virtual clinics via telecommunications infrastructure, reducing the need for rural patients to travel long distances for healthcare. The system is designed to minimize healthcare costs, enhance service quality, and improve access to medical expertise in remote regions. A prototype has been developed, and survey results highlight the viability and demand for this telemedicine solution in rural Bangladesh. This approach presents a scalable and cost-effective solution for improving healthcare in underserved regions.
